Patient Reviews
Jul 23, 2026
When I was 15 I was admitted to the hospital for chest pain, racing heart, and difficulty breathing. He was the cardiologist on site. He interrupted me, and when I’d try to explain my symptoms and sensations he would cut me off saying “you’re wrong” and “that’s not what that is.” I was told my symptoms were caused by anxiety and the nasal spray I used despite only having used it once for allergies. He frequently mentioned how he did sports medicine and worked with athletes despite that information having literally nothing to do with my care or symptoms. I left that ER visit feeling scared and like my questions and concerns were not addressed. My condition worsened at home until I was diagnosed with POTS months later, where my cardiologist verified that the symptoms I was experiencing were a part of the condition, not anxiety or NASAL SPRAY! Even though 5 years have passed, this negative experience still impacts me and my trust for doctors in emergency settings.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
