I had a very upsetting experience at this office today. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I needed to change my primary care provider with my insurance — something no one mentioned on the phone when I scheduled. That would have been fine to fix, but the way the front desk receptionist handled the situation was completely unacceptable. She spoke to me in a rude and dismissive tone, repeatedly closed the glass window in my face while I was still speaking, and treated me with visible irritation and disrespect. When I tried to calmly clarify things, she raised her voice and behaved in a very unprofessional manner. As someone who has worked as a receptionist myself, I know how stressful this job can be — but there is simply no excuse for this kind of treatment toward patients. I later received a call from the office manager, who was kind enough to apologize and confirmed that this behavior was inappropriate. I appreciate that, but I strongly believe management needs to take a closer look at how patients are being treated at the front desk. No one should ever be made to feel humiliated or disrespected in a medical office
