Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Acker when we brought our 8-year-old son to see him. We expected professionalism, patience, and basic compassion. Instead, we were met with irritation, dismissiveness, and an attitude that made us feel like we were inconveniencing him simply for trying to understand our child’s care.Throughout the appointment, both my husband and I were repeatedly interrupted while speaking. Each time we tried to explain our concerns or ask questions, Dr. Acker would cut us off and interject without allowing us to finishWhat stood out most was his reaction when I mentioned that our son also sees a holistic physician. Rather than respectfully discussing different approaches, he dismissed alternative medicine entirely as a “waste of time,” which came across as judgmental and unprofessional. I truly wish we had a different experience, but unfortunately, we left feeling unheard, disrespected, and discouraged from returning for follow-up care.
