I have never written a doctor review before, but I felt compelled to share this experience. I was reassigned to Dr. Daniels after my longtime physician left the practice. My 22-year-old daughter was reassigned as well, and our experiences have been similar. My daughter has been on long-term medications that were previously renewed annually. Dr. Daniels is now requiring quarterly visits for renewals and has outright refused to refill her migraine medication. She repeatedly questioned why my daughter’s previous physician prescribed these medications at all. If both the patient and her prior doctor agree that she suffers from migraines, it is unclear why this was being challenged. During one visit, Dr. Daniels questioned why my daughter had a “deep” voice. When my daughter explained that her voice has always been this way, Dr. Daniels responded, “I guess it’s okay then.” I am baffled by this comment. I personally suffer from chronic migraines and have been treated by multiple neurologists and headache specialists over many years. It took a long time to find the correct combination of medications and injections, which have reduced my migraines from approximately 20 per month to none. Despite extensive specialist involvement and successful treatment, Dr. Daniels questioned these conclusions and sent me to a sleep specialist claiming that I probably have sleep apnea . I told her that I sleep well every night and have never snored. She insisted that I see a sleep specialist, and this was the root of my migraines. Ultimately, I complied, and it was a complete waste of my time. The sleep specialist seemed to be confused as to why I was even referred to him. I also suffer from generalized anxiety disorder. I was diagnosed roughly 30 years ago. My PCP has always prescribed my medication with no issues. When I asked if Dr. Daniels could refill my long-standing Zoloft prescription—a medication I have taken successfully for many years—she snickered. I explained how effective the medication has been for me, yet she insisted on a full psychological workup and referred me to a psychiatrist. Overall, I found Dr. Daniels dismissive, rude, and unnecessarily adversarial toward established diagnoses, and lacking in professional communication. This experience has been frustrating and disruptive to care that had previously been stable and effective.
