I was a patient of Dr Tewari for two years (until March 2024) for macular telangiectasia (mactel), a disease of the retina. On the positive side, he was willing to think out of the box and wrote a prescription for sodium bromfenac solution eye drop. The eye drop, although not a part of the standard protocol, was certainly helpful against a very difficult disease. However, he gave my diagnosis as mactel type 1, although the correct diagnosis was mactel type 2, which is a very very different disease with mine being a very obvious case of type 2.
