We felt it was time that our son should have his shunt removed, the doctor who originally installed it refused to take it out. He would always tell us, its in for the rest of his life. It was incredibly discouraging trying to find another neurosurgeon willing to even attempt the procedure. We were lucky enough to find Dr. Dipatri.This was one of the most stressful and scary situations our family had to deal with. Dr. Dipatri took extreme caution every step of the way, knowing that if our son truly still needed the shunt, we'd have to go through the entire procedure all over again. His careful, thoughtful approach gave us peace of mind during a time when we had very little. If you're looking for a brilliant neurosurgeon with great bedside manner, someone who genuinely cares about kids and their comfort, Dr. Dipatri is your doctor.
