Review for Dr. Anna Betlachin – UCI Health My experience under the care of Dr. Anna Betlachin has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I first saw Dr. Betlachin in July and soon after had abnormal blood test results, yet I received no communication from her office. I reached out multiple times by phone and through patient messages with no response. Even after filing a formal complaint about the lack of follow-up — which I felt was necessary given the abnormal results — I still did not hear back. In my efforts to seek proper care, I contacted UCI to schedule a second opinion with another physician. However, the nursing staff in Dr. Betlachin’s office discouraged me from doing so, assuring me that I would receive the help I needed. Unfortunately, despite that assurance, communication remained nonexistent. I was finally able to see Dr. Betlachin again in late August following additional abnormal test results, but once again, I received no follow-up, care plan, or explanation. My repeated messages and phone calls continued to go unanswered — even after a formal complaint had already been filed. Although Dr. Betlachin seemed somewhat caring during appointments, her consistent lack of communication, follow-up, and proactive care is unacceptable, particularly for a patient dealing with ongoing abnormal results and worsening health. I am a mother of two young children, and my condition has continued to deteriorate without proper medical support. Because of this experience, I had no choice but to seek another provider. I ultimately had to wait more than a month and a half for an appointment I could have had within a week — an appointment I was originally talked out of scheduling by her office staff. This delay has only worsened my situation and caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. In my opinion, Dr. Betlachin’s lack of communication and follow-up is a serious concern. Patients deserve attentive, responsive care — especially when abnormal test results and deteriorating health are involved. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with her or her office.
