Dr. Modi knew my mother's insurance did not cover the Rx she prescribed and she did not suggest a similar medication or provide samples. My mother called the office and requested a return call from Dr. Modi and she never called. I would NOT recommend.

My initial appointments with Dr. Modi felt rushed and like I was being lectured for even being referred to her office by another doctor. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt, now I have been under her care for 2 years and can state that she always rushes through appointments unless she’s taking time to lecture you. As an endocrinologist, one might expect her to deal with weight issues with some understanding or empathy, instead it’s all judgment and lectures. She ignores concerns about side effects of medication she prescribes and refuses to listen to patient concerns. Although the rating on her practice’s site show a rating of 4.7, a read through individual comments shows that MANY patients have also complained about her callous and rushed demeanor. If your endocrinology concerns include weight, know that she will focus more on your weight than on the effects a hormonal imbalance is having in your daily life and health. If you are sensitive, prepare to be stared down for expressing any resistance to being lectured about your weight.
