Dr. Aaron Fischman, MD

After a re-treatment with PAE for my BPH (not uncommon, as the prostate tends to re-grow, and there is no minimally invasive treatment that can prevent this, not to mention the fact that PAE is the only treatment that addresses the fundamental problem with the prostate -- by partially shutting off it's blood supply, and reducing the density of receptors which trigger growth) I am offering this update to my review of this amazing doctor and interventional radiologist: I've been truly fortunate to have had some fantastic doctors (and dentists), but I can say that it would be really hard to find a doctor who is both as patient oriented, and responsive and communicative as Dr. Fischman. If you combine that with a skill level that's at the top of his field (while I can't judge this objectively, I have no doubt this is absolutely the case), and his investigation and use of cutting edge techniques in IR, you have a rare case of a clinician who "fires on all cylinders", and would be hard pressed to find other doctors who are in the same category elevated level across all dimensions of medicine. Both my wife, daughter, and I have been so grateful to have been able to have Dr. Fischman treat my BPH with the latest PAE based procedures, as BPH affects not only men but everyone that is close to them. I can recommend him to anyone looking for PAE treatment of BPH (or any other IR based solution to a medical problem), and have already done so to two close friends, and others with whom the topic of BPH ever comes up in conversation. BTW I should not forget his team, everyone of which has been uniformly gentle and considerate, especially in person pre and post procedure. We travelled twice now from New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, to Mt. Sinai for my two procedures -- two trips that were worth every moment of that time.
