What are the signs and symptoms of ADHD?
Symptoms of ADHD can be different for each individual. Some people may notice symptoms associated with hyperactivity and impulsivity, such as difficulties sitting still, feeling restless, interrupting people often, and excessive talking. Others may notice symptoms linked to their ability to focus, such as not paying attention when others speak, having difficulty completing exercises that require sustained mental effort, and being easily distracted by external stimuli.
What does ADHD stand for?
ADHD stands for "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder." The previous name for the condition was "attention deficit disorder (ADD), with or without hyperactivity."
